In February 2023, the skating rink SMILE RINK SAPPORO appeared in downtown Sapporo. It ended with rave reviews not only from residents of Sapporo, but also from tourists visiting the Sapporo Snow Festival.
That extraordinary space will return to Kita 3-jo Plaza (Akapla)! Under the catchphrase, ‘Good luck comes to winters in which there is laughter,’ as with last year, a turret will be built in the center of the rink to create a world view that combines a skating rink and a Japanese festival. This time, as well as the skating rink, a new zone will be established in which visitors can enjoy playing in the snow.

After enjoying skating, you will be welcomed to the Akarenga Terrace with a menu to warm you up. Establishments in the building are offering an AKATERRA HOT MENU from February 1, the same day SMILE RINK SAPPORO opens. Two thousand limited-edition coupons will be distributed, offering special deals and providing the chance to make both your heart and body HOT.
